Education and Professional Qualifications

Wee Kong Eng graduated from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 1993 with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) degree. He began his career as an auditor with a prominent international accounting firm, gaining extensive experience auditing companies across various industries, including listed corporations.

In 1996, he earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), now recognized as Chartered Accountant (CA). Since 2005, he has been registered as a Public Accountant with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA). His other professional qualifications include:

  • Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA, Income Tax & GST) recognized by the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP)
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) registered with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)
  • Master of Taxation from Singapore University of Social Sciences (2017)
  • Chartered Valuer and Appraiser (CVA) program completion with designation as Associate CVA (2022)

Professional Contributions and Roles

Kong Eng’s dedication to professional excellence is reflected in his long-standing service to the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). Since January 2012, he has served on the Hot Review and Peer Review panels, assisting fellow public accountants in enhancing the quality of their audits. In this capacity, he has acted as a Hot Review Partner, providing expert reviews and advisory services.

He has also contributed to the profession through knowledge sharing and industry discussions:

  • Participated as a panelist at the 2012 ICPAS SME-SMP Forum
